It is also used for decorative purposes and can be grown with ease both indoors and outdoors. Crotons come with a wide variety of leaves of different shapes and colors. They can be short, thin, thick, long and twisted. They come in various colors and combinations such as yellow, green, red, pink, orange, variegated and black. Crotons can grow up to 10ft. in length.

Crotons are a category of plants that do like to be moved from one place to other. They are known to quickly go into shock which often results in leaf loss. We recommend you to avoid moving the crotons as much as possible. In certain situations where moving the plant is unavoidable such as when you buy one,  you may experience leaf loss which is a normal behavior of crotons. You can maintain proper care and the leaves will grow back in no time.

During the main growing season feed the plant with organic manure once a month. Loosen the topsoil so it can uptake nutrients and moisture easily.

When a plant outgrows from its current pot, re-pot the plant late evening and keep it in a shady area for 2 to 3 days. Then you can move the plant to its suitable climatic condition.

Water when topsoil i.e., 1-3 inches, feels dry to touch. Water thoroughly during the summer season and moderately in the winter and rainy seasons.
